How do I know which product is right for my project? You can take our quick Room Edit Quiz which will help us understand what type of project you're looking to do and where in the process you currently are. We will email you our recommendation based on your response. Alternatively, you can email us at hello@commonthreadco.ca with any questions.
What is the process for an e-design package? It's 4 easy steps, and you only have to do 2 of them! You select the package that fits your needs, complete the style survey after your purchase (you'll receive an automatic link), we develop the design based on your responses, we deliver the final design file with design rationale, layout descriptions and shoppable links to all of the items featured.
Do you work with all budget levels for e-design? Yes! Your design will reflect the budget range you selected in your Style Survey. If the budget range you have selected does not match the type of project you're looking to take on (ie. full bathroom remodel for under $5,000), we may make some alternate suggestions to ensure you're set up for success.
How come your custom design rates are lower than other design firms? Design firms typically offer custom designs as part of their full-service design solutions, rather than a standalone service. Full-service design requires a bigger time commitment for things like site visits, measurements, project management, contractor meetings, budget tracking, sourcing, ordering and installation. Think of our custom e-designs as the first step in that process, that help define the vision for your space and give you the tools and confidence to take it across the finish line yourself - saving you time and money.
Do you offer full-service design solutions? We do! We offer in-person solutions for both styling and design, for homeowners, investors and property managers. Rates depend on the size of the space and the scope of the project so reach out to us at hello@commonthreadco.ca to chat about your vision.
Where do you source your furniture and accessories from? We work with retailers that ship across Canada and the USA. We also ensure that all items featured in your design are in stock and available to ship at the time your design is delivered to you. If you have any concerns about shipping to your location or have specific store preferences, please email us at hello@commonthreadco.ca
Can I request any changes to the design once I receive it? Absolutely! Making an aesthetic change to your home, no matter how big or small, is a big deal and we want you to love your design. Each design package comes with revisions and we communicate directly with you to make any changes until you're thrilled with the vision.
